Hello
We have light at the end of our kennels...

Staffierescue was born in concept Jan 2009 out of desperate need. Our website was launched 2nd March 2009 . The calls; the emails; the costs; emotional anguish…and above all out of love for our staffie friends. Staffies desperately need us all. We already was rescuing staffies but our faith in the breed had grown to such a level we wanted to hold their heads up high. Our website is there to serve these wonderful dogs, whilst they pace our kennels seeking aware homes who can offer them stability; understanding and certitude that their staffie gifts will be cherished. This website has found so many staffies their  families to love and share their hearts with. Brilliant strong families 81 in the year 2009!

We proceed with care as there is such darkness in the treatment some staffies receive in our society. They have become the fashion accessory of youth. They are so popular because they are fantastic dogs; such are their tremendous characters. Many youths awake to their brilliant dogs needs, as staffies offer them true companionship and responsibility in their uncertain lives. But instability in their circumstance can force them to pass their dogs on. For some it's a fleeting encounter as they are faced with an energetic dog who have their needs and become too demanding on their time. The worst case scenarios are where staffies are exploited for puppy cash or regarded purely as status symbols offering a macho image receiving abuse. We've seen it all and been sickened by the staffie's plight. A high number of staffies become social discards before their 1st birthday. The pounds are full of them..very few are given the chance to see their 2nd birthday

Explore our website we have tried to keep it 'light' in nature though there are 'heavy' elements which need to be mentioned in making the public aware of the urgent action society needs to make to stop their obvious abuse and the 'death camp' nature our council pounds are serving. We are not a purest Staffordshire Bull Terrier service. We have no interest in whether our friends are pure staffies or a crossbred with hint of staffie. We are there for these friends in need who will hopefully make you a friend in deed!

Footnote: you won't find a telephone number to call for help: we don't operate a call centre; we are just a few people who care and can not cope with the avalanche generated already. If you can offer a staffie a stable; aware and caring home complete our questionnaire and send it to us. Be patient we are all volunteers working from 7 'til 11 out of love.
